James W. Hennington, 72, of Pachuta, MS, passed away on January 20, 2017, at his residence.
He was born on May 24, 1944, to J.C. and Nancy Elizabeth (Carroll) Hennington in DeRidder, LA.
After retiring from Georgia Pacific Corp. in New Augusta, MS, Mr. Hennington became a member of the Lake Eddins Volunteer Fire Department where he was a firefighter and secretary and treasurer. He also served in the United States Air Force.
James is survived by his wife, Cathy Hennington; three sons, James "Jimbo" Hennington, Mike Hennington of Louisiana, and Greg (Joy) Hennington of Mississippi, two sisters, Dorothy Ann (Dean) Mulig, and Velma Gail (Wayne) Kite of Louisiana; brother-in-law, Levis Quave; granddaughter, Kelsie DeAnna Walters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by father, J.C. Hennington, and his mother, Nancy Elizabeth "Lizzie" Hennington.
Pallbearers are Daryl Maskew, Roger Hennington, Tommy Scott, Oliver Joyner, David Hall, Danny Kirkland.
Honorary Pallbearers are Tilton Marter, Chris Dufrene, Charles Shepherd, Lake Eddins Fire Department members, Randle McCraw, Neal Dulaney, Thomas McLaurin.
Visitation will be held Monday, January 23, 2017, 5:00 pm at Wright's Funeral Home, Quitman, MS.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2017, 11:00 am at the Wright's Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Alfred Quave and Rev. Eddie Edwards, officiating. Burial will take place in the Moore Cemetery 11 miles east of Wiggins, MS, on January 24, 2017, at 2:30 p.m.
