Jimmie Eugene Thomas, 84, of Quitman, MS, passed away on March 25, 2016, at residence.
Jimmie was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars during his 23 years service in the United States Navy and Air Force. He later retired from Chevron Oil Company after 26 years of service.
Jimmie is survived by his daughters, Gwendolyn (Keith) Cherry, Tempie Goodman, Theresa Thomas, and Christie Thomas and fiance, Christopher Bowen; son, James Curry (Rose) Thomas; six grandchildren, Timothy Shane Goodman and wife, Kristen, James Berrie Goodman, Thomas Wayne Cherry and fiance’ Pamela Jenkins, Tara Thomas Reese and husband Joey, Jamie Cherry Williamson and husband, Roger, and Lydia Hastings; 11 great grandchildren and special family member, Sherry (L.C.) Turbyfil.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Riley Thomas.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, April 1, 2016, 2:00 pm at the Old Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Rev. Grady Crowell officiating.
