Jonathan Edward "Teddy" Espey Sr., 67, of Quitman, Mississippi, passed away on August 2, 2020, at Anderson's Hospital.
He was a man with a big heart that loved everyone and would do anything for anyone, and will be missed by all.
Jonathan is survived by his wife, Dorothy Espey; sons, Jonathan (Joyce Richardson) Espey, Jr. and Grover (Allison Adams) Espey; daughters, Stephanie Espey and Sheryl (Tim) Steppee; step-father, B.L. Brown; brothers, John Espey, Tommy Espey, and Albert Espey; sister, Jean Herrington; grandchildren, Meagan (Jamie Sr.) Norris, Kyle Espey, Matthew Warren, Abel Steppee, and Aiyana Espey; great grandchildren, Jamie Norris, Jr., John Norris, Jathan Norris, Joel Norris, Elijah Warren, and Heidie Steppee; and his special dog, Diamond.
He was preceded in death by his father, Grover Espey; mother, May Brown; and grandson, Zachary Espey.
Visitation will be held Thursday, August 6, 2020, after 10:00 am at Wright's Funeral Home, Quitman, Mississippi.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2020, 11:30 a.m. at the East Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Espey officiating. Burial will take place in the East Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Warren, Abel Steppee, Jamie Norris, Sr., Jonathan Espey, Grover Espey, and Tim Steppee.
