Mr. J.W. "Buddy" Cox, 82, of Quitman, MS, passed from this life Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital.
He was born Tuesday, May 8, 1934, in Choctaw County, AL. He was a member of Cross Roads Methodist Protestant Church and was retired as a welder's helper in pipeline construction.
Mr. Cox is preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara Ann Walley; two sons-in-law, Clint Taylor and Nathan Baker.
He is survived by his wife, Annie Ruth Cox, Quitman; daughter, Patricia Ann Baker, Quitman; three grandchildren, Samuel A. Taylor (Allison), Amanda Clutter (Chance), Jennifer Walley; two great grandchildren, Amzie Taylor, Camden Clutter.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Sunday, April 2, 2017, at Cross Roads Cemetery in Quitman with Rev. Dan Henry officiating.
