Lois Marie Underwood, 81, of Stonewall, MS, passed away on November 27, 2016, at her residence.
She was born on March 14, 1935, to Saul and Mattie (McQuirter) Buckley in Fruitdale, AL.
Lois is survived by her son, George (Alicia) Underwood, Jr.; three daughters, Ouida (Gary) Thornhill, Shelia (James) Johnson, and Barbara (Timmy) Harper; nine grandchildren, Jennifer Taylor, Ashley Thornhill, Kristen Gressett, Craig Underwood, Mandi Brooks, Will Snowden, Colby Snowden, Nikki Davis, and Trae Johnson; 13 great-grandchildren, Erika Taylor, Madisson Taylor, Lauren Taylor, Kayleigh Gressett, Kristina Underwood, Brianna Underwood, Ty Underwood, Kayleigh Underwood, Blake Robinson, Alana Robinson, Evan Davis, Gage Johnson, and Brooklyn Johnson; three great-great-grandchildren, Emma Kidd, Dustin Underwood, and Cooper Upton.
She was preceded in death by Husband, George Underwood, Sr., Son, David Underwood, Grandson, Larry Broadhead, Great-grandson, Cameron Johnson, Brother, Ralph Buckley, and her parents Saul and Mattie Buckley.
Visitation will be held Monday, November 28, 2016, 5:00 - 8:00 pm at Wright's Funeral Home, Quitman, MS. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 1:00 pm at the Wright's Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Nick Ulmer, officiating. Burial will take place in the Stonewall Cemetery.
