Margie Johnson Dyess of Quitman passed away on October 8, 2019, at the age of 86. She was reared in the Carmichael community and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Quitman.
Mrs. Dyess is survived by her son, Joey Mosley (Teresa) of Vossburg, Mississippi; grandchildren, Derek Mosley (Jenna) of Newton, and Talia Mosley Young (Jacob) of Enterprise; great grandchildren, Declan, Ian and Darcy Mosley, and Gracie Young; sisters, Fredna Johnson Wittig of Columbia, Tennessee, and Polly Johnson Covington of Quitman; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Eddie Mosley; her parents, Oscar Johnson and Daisy McAdams Johnson; siblings, Oscar Johnson, Jr., Nellie Johnson Martin, McRae Johnson, Doris Johnson Ellis, Bill Johnson; and half-sister, Geneva Tew Bordeaux.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2019, at 3:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, Quitman, with Rev. Dennis Coats officiating.
