2016 at Lakeside Health and Rehab in Quitman, MS. She was born Sunday, March 02, 1930 in Clarke County, MS.
Visitation will be held Saturday, October 29, 2016 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at McClain Chapel in Wayne County. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 1:00 PM at McClain Chapel in Wayne County, MS. Burial will follow in McClain Chapel Cemetery in Wayne County, MS.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Helen Hemmingway, father, John P. Hemmingway, husband, Willie E. Smith, sister, Desma Murray, sister, Mae Jewel Brock, brother, Rudolph Hemmingway and brother, Howard Hemmingway.
Survivors include her niece, Voncille Smith, Soso, MS; step-son, Danny Smith, Petal, MS, step-daughter, Susan Shoemake, Hattiesburg, MS and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Steve Smith, Kevin Smith, Bryan Anderson, Rusty Leitaker, Thomas Glenn and Justin Aaron.
