Services for Mose Edward House were held June 11, 2016 at Cokes Chapel UM Church in Vossburg with Rev. Curtis Walker officiating. Burial followed in the Mose House family cemetery.
Mr. House died June 6, 2016 at his residence.
He was born June 26, 1925 and was retired from Hankins Lumber Company. He was a World War II veteran and served in the U.S. Navy Seaman First Class.
He is survived by his wife, Cora Mae House; sons, Percy (Betty) House of Jackson; Mose (helen) House of Meridian; Walter (Lora Ann) House of Quitman; Frank (Alberta) House of Shubuta; Jimmy (Dorothy) House of Heidelberg and two adopted sons, Larry (Samantha) House of Myrtle Beach, SC and Madarius House of Shubuta; daughters, Doris (Memphis) Johnson; Clara Ditty, Ethel (James) Johnson of Pendleton, SC; Betty (Eddie) Wallace of Quitman; Lora Mae (Larry) Wilson of Waynesboro; Mary (Ronnie) Trotter of Atlanta; and Shirley House; 37 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Turner Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
