Mr. Charles A. Neal

Funeral services for Mr. Charles A. Neal will begin at 10:00 am Wednesday, September 11, 2019, at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home chapel with The Reverend Reggie Manning officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Shubuta, MS. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Neal, 82, of Meridian, passed away Sunday, September 8, 2019, at his residence.

Mr. Neal was an avid fisherman and also enjoyed hunting. He loved to watch the Atlanta Braves, and was an avid fan. He regularly attended Lakeview Worship Center for over 35 years. He was a generous man, who enjoyed helping others in any way that he could. In his spare time, he enjoyed attending and helping at the go-cart races with his family. He was affectionately known as “pawpaw” by his grand and great-grandchildren whom he loved dearly.

Mr. Charles is survived by his children, Debbie McCarra (Kevin), Rhonda Massey (Dwayne), and Tracey Stinson (Anthony).  Grandchildren, Stacey King (Chris), Davey Massey, Katy Rose (Cody), Rachel Harbour (Josh), Stephanie Ploof (Derick) and Tony Stinson. Great-grandchildren, Kendall Massey, Braden Massey, Landon King, Addison King, Brooks Massey, Chloe Rose, Adrianna Harbour, Ryker Rose, Lynnleigh Stinson, and Octavia Rose. Siblings, Bennie Neal and Carolyn Raines as well as a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

Mr. Neal is preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Broadhead Neal; parents, Evren and Lorraine Neal; brothers, L. J. Neal, John D. Neal, Evren Neal, Jr., Wayne Neal, and Houston “Fat” Neal; sisters, Dorothy Collins, Marie Johnson, and Barbara Sue Neal.

The family suggest memorials be made to The Gideons International or to a charity of your choice.

Pallbearers will be Glenn Page, Dwight Page, Wendell Hostetler, Matt Hostetler, Greg Mabry, Doobie Fitzgerald, and Jap Chambers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Levi Hostetler, Davey Massey, Kendall Massey, Braden Massey, Landon King, Brooks Massey and Ryker Rose.
