Funeral services for Mr. Harvey Lee Pruitt, age 69, of Gilbertown, AL, were held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 15, 2016, from the chapel of Phillips Funeral Home in Gilbertown, AL, with Reverend Michael Boutwell officiating. Visitation was held Tuesday, June 14, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. Interment was in the Antioch Cemetery in Quitman, MS.
Mr. Pruitt, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2016, at Anderson Hospital in Meridian, MS.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Coody Pruitt of Gilbertown, AL; one son, Harvey Lance Pruitt (Ashley) of Gilbertown, AL; three brothers, Earl Pruitt (Nell) of Ararat, AL, John D. Pruitt (Hazel) of Gilbertown, AL, and J. C. Pruitt (Jean) of Quitman, MS; two sisters, Lillie Maude Smith (Jack) of Lucedale, MS, and Hazel Bonner (Carl) of Quitman, MS; and two grandchildren, his pride and joy Hunter Pruitt and Gabrielle Pruitt. He was preceded in death by father, William T. Pruitt; mother, Illa Pruitt; daughter, Illa Marie Pruitt; one brother, Roy Pruitt; and two sisters, Earlene Allen and Helen Pruitt.
Serving as pallbearers were John David Pruitt, Bobby Pruitt, Josh Pruitt, Brad Coody, Michael Coody, and Matthew Coody. Honorary pallbearers included Hunter Pruitt, Gabby Pruitt, Ryan Watkins, Cindi Pruitt, and Jammie Baker.
