Norma Jean Hamrick, 91, of Stonewall, Mississippi, passed away on June 1, 2020, at her residence.
She was born on November 4, 1928, to Clarence and Nannie (Myers) Griffin in Clarke County, MS.
She was a longtime member of Faith Assembly of God Church where she enjoyed being a Sunday School Teacher. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt that cared for all that knew her.
Norma is survived by her daughter, Dot (Jack) Smith; brother, Jerry (Sarah) Griffin; grandchildren, Keith Scott, Emily (Jamie) Cooley, Tyler (Raychel) Smith, Dewayne (Missy) Hamrick and Kyle Hamrick; great-grandchildren, Bethany (Bryce) Morgan, Colby Cooley, Brandon (Kimmie) Vanderford, Ashley Vanderford, Hailey Hamrick, Abby Hamrick, Karley Hamrick, Kade Hamrick and Lydia Smith; great-great grandchildren, Brayden Morgan, Sadie Hamrick and Carter Cooley and a host of nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Nannie Griffin; husband, J.R. Hamrick; sons, James Hamrick and George Hamrick; brother, Jack Griffin and sister, Dorothy Williams.
Graveside service was held on Wednesday, June 3, 2020, 1:00 p.m. at the Union Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Ed Shoemaker and Rev. C.A. Farmer officiating.
Burial took place in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
