Octavia Phillips, 86, of Quitman, Mississippi, passed away on November 11, 2020, at Lakeside Living Center.
She was born on February 2, 1934, to Pete and Janie (Dunnam) Dew in Clarke County, MS.
Octavia is survived by her son, Steven "Squeak" (Sandy) Phillips; daughter-in-law, Marsha Phillips; brothers, Perry "Sonny" (Betty) Dew and Buddy (Patsy) Dew; sister, Peggy Lee; grandchildren, Denny (Maygen) Phillips, Casey (Chris) Tibbetts, Steven Ray (Alicia) Phillips, and Sasha Phillips; nine great grandchildren and a host of nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Janie Dew; sister, Betty Langley; husband, Billy L. Phillips; and her son, Dennis L. Phillips.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
