Graveside services for Ms. Opal Edith Champion Elmore, age 83, of Hinton, AL, were held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, December 17, 2016, at Antioch Cemetery in Quitman, MS, with Reverend Tommy Normand officiating. Visitation was held Saturday, December 17, 2016, from 1:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home in Gilbertown, AL.
Ms. Elmore passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2016, at Lakeside Health and Rehabilitation Center in Quitman, MS.
She is survived by two daughters, Sharon H. Carney (Robert) of Hinton, AL and Tracy H. Morris (James) of Carmichael, MS; four grandchildren, six great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lindsey Kimbrough Elmore and parents Robert Champion and Allie Jane Todd Champion.
Serving as pallbearers were Dewayne Carney, Justin Caroll, Franklin Melton, Russell Champion, Barry Turner, and William Champion.
