Rita Irene Talbert, 59, of Hickory, MS, passed away on March 10, 2016, at her residence.
She was born on October 11, 1956, to James and Sarah (Brown) Thomas in Meridian, MS. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother that loved spending time with her family.
Rita is survived by her husband, Dewayne Talbert; sons, Thomas Steven Smith and Robert Talbert; brothers, Robert Thomas, Gary Thomas, and Jimmy Thomas; sister, Sarah Hamrick; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held Sunday, March 13, 2016, 5:00 - 9:00 pm at Wright's Funeral Home, Quitman, MS.
Funeral services were held on Monday, March 14, 2016, 2:00 pm at the Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roger Laird and Rev. Michael Powell officiating.
Burial took place in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery (Quitman).
