Rosie Olevia "Ouida" Ivy, 77, of Shubuta, passed away on November 16, 2016 at Anderson's Hospital.
She was born on August 29, 1939 to Hal and Claire (Reese) Simpson in Quitman, MS.
Ouida is survived by her husband, Charles Edwin Ivy; sons, Donnie Edwin (Betty Jo) Ivy and Charles Allen (Donna) Ivy; daughter, Carol Ann (Clayton) Holifield; brothers, Richard Dean Simpson, Terry Wayne Simpson, and Jerry Don Simpson; sisters, Frankie Felter, Virginia Lafferty, Betty Jo Farrar, and Linda Dearman; 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hal and Claire Simpson; step-mother, Eloise Simpson; grandson, Jon Anthony "Tony" Ivy; brothers, Hal Eugene Simpson and Hal Wesley Simpson.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 18, 2016, 1:30 pm - 2:00 pm at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Shubuta, Mississippi.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, November 18, 2016, 2:00 pm at the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Hemmingway officiating. Burial will take place in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Lance Ivy, Paul Fraiser, Roger Schweppe, Vince Hinson, Alan Mathis, and Julian (Shug) Cranford. Honorary Pallbearers will be Hunter Holifield, Caden Ivy, and Mason Ivy.
