Vernon C. Roberts, 90, of Shubuta, Mississippi, passed away on October 4, 2019, at Anderson's Hospital.
He was born on June 14, 1929, to William and Audie (McGrew) Roberts in Clarke County, MS.
Vernon is survived by his wife, Julia Roberts; son, Ronald Clyne Roberts and Carol Boone; sister-in-law, Hazel Roberts; six grandchildren, Nicole Roberts, Travis Brandon Roberts, Cody Ryan Roberts, Shawn Burns, Bryan Burns, and Michelle Burns; nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Audie Roberts; 1st wife, Vera Roberts; daughter, Gwen Burns; three sisters, Bernidine Collins, Christine Bonner, and Gertrude Jones; and brother, Cleitus Roberts.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 8, 2019, 9:00 a.m. at Wright's Funeral Home, Quitman, Mississippi.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, October 8, 2019, 11:00 a.m. at the Wright's Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Doug Manning officiating.
Burial took place in the Cedar Creek Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Travis Roberts, Cody Roberts, Shawn Burns, Bryan Burns, and Terry Wayne Roberts. Honorary Pallbearers are Cleitus Roberts, Jr., and Woody Boykin.
