William Eugene Hamrick Sr., 84, of Enterprise, Mississippi, passed away on October 11, 2019, at Anderson's Hospital.
He was born on July 9, 1935, the 7th child of George and Pearl (King) Hamrick in Stonewall, MS.
William is survived by his children, Dianne (Daniel) Shelton, Pam (Bill) Driver and Billy E. (Mandi) Hamrick, Jr.; sister, Delores Cangemi; four grandchildren, Brandi, Lynn, T.J. and Beth; and eight great-grandchildren, Keylie, Brandon, Dustin, Camry, Brayden, Allie, Colbe and Zoey; and lots of nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Sarah Boykin Hamrick; parents, George and Pearl Hamrick; six brothers, J.R., Harmon, Sherwood, Charles, Ira Lee and Bennie Wayne; and two sisters, Inez McNeil and Louise Dew.
Visitation was held Tuesday, October 15, 2019, 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. at Wright's Funeral Home, Quitman, Mississippi.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, 10:00 a.m. at the Wright's Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Ed Shoemaker, Rev. Michael May and Rev. Troy Dew officiating.
Burial took place in the Stonewall Cemetery.
Pallbearers were grandson, Lynn Johnson; great-grandson, Brandon Chancelor and nephews, Chuck Hamrick, Carey Hamrick, Steve Hamrick and John Cangemi.
