Outreach Health Services, located at 130 North High Street in Shubuta, will be having their 2024 Summer Blast Health Fair on Saturday, June 1, starting at 9:00 a.m.
They encourage everyone to get out and stay active since physical activity can promote and improve mental health and prevent or fight obesity while enhancing fitness.
Different educational booths will be available. People can learn more about how to care for themselves during the summer and the following things: sun protection, vitamin D, skin damage, skin cancer risk, and dehydration.
Some other things they will offer include T-Dap, a $5.00 sports physical, and EPSDT screenings with insurance.
There will be fun things for the kids to enjoy and food. They can enjoy a bounce house, hot dog, hamburger, chips, and drinks.
Along with the fun events, they offer the following summer health tips:
• Drink plenty of water
• Eat light, healthy food
• Stay cool and wear cotton and loose fit clothing
• Use eye protection
• Use sunscreens with SPF
