Tony and Kim Chancelor’s T&K Productions will be bringing a must see event to Clarke County on Saturday, April 23 at 7:00 p.m. with a Pasture Party featuring Curtis Grimes, one of the top finalists in the first season of The Voice.
Curtis Grimes has become well renowned in country music and will not only be performing a concert for the community that Saturday night, but he will also be singing and sharing his testimony at 3S Cowboy Church the following Sunday morning. He has a strong testimony and great music that those who hear will surely enjoy.
“I met Curtis in Texas at a men’s event, and he’s a strong Christian young man. He’s a country artist, but his set of music is an old traditional style of country. He’s been the Entertainer of the Year in Texas for two years with the Texas Country Music Association. He’s just a good, down to earth fellow,” explained Tony. “He has a good message and plays the same music that promotes the gospel. He’s going to be in Augusta, Georgia, earlier that week, so we felt it would be a good thing to do to promote him as well as do something for the community. Plus, he’s going to be at our church the next day. We’re helping him, and then he’ll be playing and sharing his testimony at church the following day.”
While they have had productions before, the show with Curtis Grimes will be the largest event they have held so far.
“We’ve dabbled in this a little bit, but this will be the biggest thing we’ve done up there for the community. It’s just going to be some good family fun,” continued Tony. “We call it a pasture party because it’s in a pasture. People can bring lawn chairs or tailgate because there will be some spots for tailgating where people can sit in the back of their truck. We’re trying to work out a deal with some bleachers right now. We have a stage, so everyone will be able to see. There is enough room for everyone to spread out and not have to be too close. We’ve hired a sound team to come run the sound, so you don’t have to be close to the stage to enjoy the evening. It’ll be a good evening and will give the community something to do that won’t break the bank.”
The Pasture Party will take place in the pasture located at 13197 Hwy. 513 in Enterprise, and gates will open at 6:00 p.m. with the concert beginning at 7:00 p.m. Concessions from Aie’s Taste of Thai will be available for all those who choose to attend.
A small $10 entry fee will be collected at the gate for anyone ages 13 and older. Those 12 and younger will be able to come free for free.
There will be security provided, and backup plans are being made in case it rains so that the show will still take place.
