A second Community Prayer Service was held in Quitman Thursday, July 7, at the Courthouse. This service focused on Vestavia Hills, Alabama, Washington, D.C., Akron, Ohio,
Highland Park, Illinois, and of course, Clarke County, MS.
A special tribute was held for two members of the community that tragically lost their lives recently, Kimberly Taylor and Carl Lott.
Balloons were released for all the victims on that night.
Speakers for this event were Judge Terry and Louri Bonner, Pastor Ceola Davis, Ms. Jasmine Hilton, Pastor Washington McKenzie Jr., Pastor Jason Castle, Pastor Lawrence Kirksey, Pastor Renaldo Hopkins, Pastor Advial McKenzie, Pastor Bob Purvis, and Pastor Alonzo Williams.
“We are still asking everyone continue to prayer for these victims' families because we never know,” stated Patricia Arrington. “Let us just keep each other lifted up if you are sincere about God's people and your community!”
