All of the following results for the Primary Election held on April 1 are still considered unofficial and will be certified later this week.
The results for Quitman Mayor were the following:

• Steve Watkins: 160
The votes for Quitman Alderman Ward 4 were recounted on Monday, April 7, at the request of one of the candidates. The total for that race after the recount was the following:
• Steve Hampton: 69
• Steve Neely: 73
The results for Stonewall Mayor were the following:
• Greg Mangum: 68
• Penny Walker: 103
For the Town of Shubuta, the only candidate running for Mayor was Cedric Chapman, who received 151 votes.
The results for the Town of Shubuta Board of Aldermen were the following:
• Lamont Chapman: 110
• Latricia McCarty: 49
• Dora McFarland: 120
• Reagan McFarland: 116
• Cozette H. Peters: 132
• Shelia H. Trotter: 142
