QSD Homecoming
The 2022 Quitman High School Homecoming Parade will take place on Thursday, September 15, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. Line-up can begin at 5:00 p.m. The parade will end back at the line-up location. Due to time constraints, we will not have a Block Party. A "QHS Fall Festival" will be held at a later date.
The City of Quitman and Quitman School District complies with MS Code Ann. Section 63-31-3, as amended, prohibits the operation of off-road vehicles on a public road or highway in the State of Mississippi. Also, only cars, trucks, trucks with trailers, or walking is permitted in our parade. Students are not allowed to just ride in the parade in their personal vehicles. Students should be a part of a club or organization in the parade.
Line up takes place on the QHS, QUE, and QLE campuses with faculty and staff guiding the process.
Exit QSD campus onto South Jackson Avenue. Turn right on East Franklin then left on Jackson Avenue at First Baptist Church .Turn left on Church Street headed west toward Quitman City Hall. Turn left on Archusa Avenue.
Travel south, turning left at the red light (Chevron will be on the left). Turn right on Kirkland Avenue (QUE will be on the left after turning left). Enter QSD campuses at the QHS Football Stadium and QUE back to the original line-up location where the parade ends.
The Homecoming Game will be held Friday, September 16, 2022. If you would like to tailgate before and during the game, fill out a registration form and return to the QSD Central Office. The registration fee is $50 for one game or $125 for a season tailgating pass. Only vehicles with a tailgating pass will be able to enter the tailgating area. The Homecoming Court will be recognized during halftime.
