The Quitman Public Library could use some assistance from the community to make sure that this year’s Summer Reading Program, “All Together Now,” is a success.
They need monetary donations or supplies donated in order to have the craft supplies they need, as well as prizes to award the children for reading books and participating in the program. They were able to provide over 400 Summer Reading Packets to the children in the community last year and would like to have even more participation this year.
Some suggested donations for anyone who would prefer to donate supplies are the following:
- Zip-loc Bags (quart, sandwich, and snack sizes)
- Crayons – 8 packs (100 packs needed)
- Card stock
- Googly eyes (1/2 inch or larger)
- Tissue paper (multi-color packs)
- Unscented lotion
The Summer Reading Program for the Quitman Public Library will take place on Wednesday, July 5,14, 21, and 28.
