Quitman School District is calling on local businesses to join its Community Book Read decorating challenge, set for Nov. 16-19.
This year's challenge centers on the theme of "Coat of Many Colors" by Dolly Parton. Participating businesses will receive a copy of the book.
Businesses are encouraged to use the book and its theme as inspiration to decorate storefronts, windows, lobbies, front counters and other business displays. Displays will be recognized for creativity, best book connection and best use of theme.
QSD wants you.
On Tuesday, Nov. 17, members of QSD will photograph participating businesses. Students and parents will vote for the most creative display, the best book connection and the best use of the theme. Winners will be announced and awarded ribbons on Thursday, Nov. 19.
