As of Monday, February 06, 2023, law enforcement are still searching for one suspect in the shooting that took place at the Shell station in Quitman on January 28.
They have been diligently trying to locate and apprehend Bobby Gene Stokes III.
“We were told that he was spotted somewhere in Stonewall,” stated Investigator David Viverette. “On Friday, the Sheriff’s Department and I went there to get him, but he was already gone.”
Stokes has warrants charging him with aggravated assault-manifesting, extreme indifference to human life, and shooting into a dwelling.
