Clarke County 4-H students are thrilled to have their second Rabbit Show this Saturday, January 4, at the multipurpose building in Quitman. The show is set to begin at 9:00 a.m.
For two years now, youth all over Clarke County have demonstrated responsibility as they have cared for and maintained various breeds of rabbits.
This year, the kids will be presenting somewhere between 50-60 different rabbits in the show. There will be about 10 different breeds shown.
The show will be judged by some great judges this year.
“Thomas Allen and Sandra Parker will be the judges for the shows,” stated Clarke County Rabbit Superintendent Heather Grantham. “They both show and raise rabbits of their own. Thomas Allen is the Vice President of the Mississippi Rabbit Association.”
There will be no concessions at the show; however, there will be a silent auction table during the show. All proceeds collected should go to the kids who have worked so hard to take care of their rabbits.
If anyone would like to sponsor, help any of the kids out, or would just like more information, contact Heather Grantham at 601-938-7397.
