Richard Glenn Cook, 80, of Vossburg, Mississippi, passed away on October 3, 2022, in Jackson, MS. He was born on July 22, 1942, to James and Helen (Mazingo) Cook in Clarke County, MS.
Richard is survived by his wife, Eugunia Cook; two daughters, Debbie (Calvin) Mosley and Ginger (Robert) Colston; son, Glenn (Gwen) Cook; daughter-in-law, Misty Cook; 12 grandchildren, Amy (Jim) Burton, Calvin A. Mosley, Ryan Colston, Kristen (Nick) Moore, Kyle (Sydne) Colston, Riley (April) Cook, Baeleigh Cook, Colin Cook, Michael Vince, Myles Vince, Kaylan Cook, and Carrie Welborn; eight great grandchildren, Taryn Green, Hayley Burton, Cooper Green, Kayson Green, Colston Moore, Nash Colston, Presley Cook, and Adler Joles.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Allen Cook; mother, Helen M. Cook; son, Franklin Davis Cook; granddaughter, Shannon Naomi Mosley; brother, Johnny Cook; and sister, Faye Mills.
Visitation was held Wednesday, October 5, 2022, 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Wright's Funeral Home, Quitman, Mississippi.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, October 6, 11:30 a.m. at the Shady Grove First Baptist Church with Randy McHan officiating. Burial took place in the Shady Grove Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Riley Cook, Colin Cook, Calvin A. Mosley, Jim Burton, Ryan Colston, Kyle Colston, and Nick Moore.
