Funeral services for Mr. Robert Earl "Yogi" Adams was held Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation was held from 11:00 a.m. until service time. Burial followed at Stonewall Cemetery. Reverends Macon Phillips, Ray Files and Ron Mercer officiated.
Mr. Adams, age 83, of Stonewall, passed away July 3 at his home, surrounded by his family.
Yogi retired from Burlington after 42 years of service. He was an avid fan of Alabama football and also loved gardening. Rob deeply loved his family and friends and was always willing to help in any way he could.
Rob is survived by his loving wife of sixty-four years, Edna; sons, Dewayne Adams, Dennis Adams and Robbie Adams; sister, Sarah Braddock of Butler, AL; and brothers, Ferry Adams of Stonewall and Gary Adams of Gilbertown, AL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Belma Adams; brother, David Adams; and sister, Bobbie Jean Mosley.
Pallbearers were Mike Lewis, Ronnie Adams, Donnie Adams, Terry Adams, Tim Elkins and Bobby Joe McNeil. Honorary pallbearer were Petie Adams.
