Mr. Ronnie Fontenot, 67, of Quitman, MS, passed from this life Saturday, March 22, 2025, at his residence. He was born in New Orleans, LA, on Tuesday, November 5, 1957, to the late Ernestine Fulmer Guthrie. He attended Little Rock Assembly of God Church. He worked as a salesman at WLS in Shubuta, MS.
Mr. Fontenot is preceded in death by his mother, Ernestine Fulmer Guthrie; uncle, Whitey Fulmer; two stepsisters, Janice Hall and Sharon Brett.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Tandi Jones Fontenot of Quitman, MS; two sons, Jesse Fontenot of Quitman, MS, and Jacob Fontenot (Terra) of Waynesboro, MS; daughter, Anna-Lauren Prentiss (Caleb) of Leakesville, MS; nephew, Eric Jones of Brandon, MS; two sisters, Joy Voss (Gerald) of Hector, AR, and Beth Staggs of Benton, AR; two stepbrothers, Ed Guthrie (Lou) of Petal, MS, and Mike Guthrie (Vickie) of Grand Bay, AL; stepsister, Judy Lane (Clyde) of Petal, MS; three grandchildren, Kilynn Fontenot, Makenzie Fontenot, and Harper Prentiss.
Visitation for Mr. Fontenot will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Little Rock Assembly of God Church, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at Little Rock Assembly of God Church in Waynesboro, MS, with Rev. Ryan Powers officiating. Interment will be in Yellow Creek Cemetery in Wayne County, MS.
