The Quitman Church of Christ hosted a field trip for some students in Quitman School District. The students were able to participate in an array of crafts, including making bracelets, decorating cookies, making wreaths, and painting pictures.
“The Quitman Church of Christ ladies decided that we wanted to do some kind of art activity for the students because it helps them with their fine motor skills, life skills, and social skills by interacting with others,” stated Charity Tucker, member of the church. “We just felt like it would be good to get the special needs kids out in the community so that they could be more involved with the community to work on life and daily living skills.”
The students who attended had a great time and made some beautiful creations along the way.
