The Senior Citizen Nutrition Program, located at 102 Dabbs Street in Quitman, has officially re-opened.
The Senior Citizens Building is open Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Fellowshipping and spending time with others to help senior citizens have something to do outside the house is their main goal. Anyone 60 and older is more than welcome to come and just socialize with others and play some games.
They also have a nice hot meal that they provide for lunch.
“We’ll have a hot meal to eat each day,” explained Zella Cameron, manager for the building. “We start eating at about 11:00, and at about 12:30 we’ll start playing games. It’s going to be fun and enjoyable, and the meals taste pretty good. It’s free for senior citizens that are 60 or older.”
Senior citizens in the area are encouraged to get out and enjoy spending time and eating a hot meal with each other at the Senior Citizens Building in Quitman.
