September is Voter Registration Month, and with the upcoming election, it is important that anyone who is qualified should get out and register to vote.
For anyone who has never registered to vote, just go to the Circuit Clerk Office at the Clarke County Courthouse and register before October. Learn where the correct voting precinct is located at that time. A person must be 18 years on or before November 5 and must register 30 days prior to the election. Only one vote is allowed person. Get registered and vote to help make a difference.
For anyone whose name or address changed since the last time they voted, go to the Circuit Clerk Office at the Clarke County Courthouse and correct the name and/or address, or call 601-776-3111 to make the change. Make sure to update whenever either the name or address changes for the voter.
Anyone who was told at the last voting event that they were at the wrong precinct or voted by affidavit ballot because their name was not in the poll book, check at the Circuit Clerk Office at the Clarke County Courthouse to correct any possible problem, or call 601-776-3111 to address it. It is a privilege to vote, so make sure that everything is taken care of so that a vote can be made at the correct precinct.
For anyone who did not vote in recent elections, go to the correct precinct for every election and vote. Make sure to take a photo I.D. Every vote matters, so get out and vote!
For any questions, call the Circuit Court Office at 601-776-3111 for clarification or instructions.
