Funeral services for Sharon Faye Daniels Rolison, age 69, of Quitman, MS, were held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Melvin, AL, with Rev. Jesse Griffith and Rev. Bob Ramsey officiating. Visitation was held for one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment followed in the Stroud Cemetery in Quitman, MS.
Mrs. Rolison was born March 8, 1956, in Wayne County, MS, to Edward and Juanita Daniels. She passed away Sunday, May 4, 2025, in Ralph, AL.
Mrs. Rolison was a longtime member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church where she was always active, especially in Vacation Bible School. She worked as a mail carrier for twenty-eight years before her retirement. She had a deep love for her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Rusty Rolison of Quitman, MS; daughters, Sha Butler (Brian) of Laurel, MS, and Haley Lavender (Chris) of Ralph, AL; sister, Peggy Mayo (Ronnie) of Thomasville, AL; and grandchildren, Hayden Butler and Payson Butler.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Daniels; mother, Juanita Covington Daniels; brothers, Danny Daniels and Joey Daniels; and special family friend, Jerry Turner.
Serving as pallbearers were Ellis Earl Jones, Robbie Collins, Brian Butler, Chris Lavender, Billy Grantham, and Todd Griffith. Honorary pallbearers were William Abston and Michael Sodoma.
