Sandra Mosley was not one who dreamed of accolades or popularity or praise. Her heart was big and unselfish. Her biggest payment was for someone to say, “I like my haircut,” or “This color is good.” For 50 years, she listened to some of us who wished we could look like a movie star and she did her best to make us feel that way. For those of us who were afraid of steps and sidewalks, she came out of the beauty shop with an umbrella and an arm for support for those who needed it.
Her family was so important. She never missed a ball game when Lisa, her daughter, was playing; and when that granddaughter came along, we had to see pictures!!
Her church and its ministry were evident in her life every day. She always reminded customers that her church doors were always open and inviting. Her pastor was so important, and she always was supportive and encouraging of the church.
Then, an evil pandemic swept the city of Quitman and the U.S. Why certain people were contaminated and others were not, we will never know. But for several weeks, Sandra lay in the hospital begging for air for her lungs. Then on the night of March 1, 2021, God sent an angel to her room much like Luke wrote in his Gospel. Jesus spoke of angels carrying a man to heaven when the man died.
So, on that night, God sent His angels to carry Sandra to heaven, her eternal home. Can you imagine how many ladies there were in heaven who welcomed Sandra! They were waiting in line for their next appointment!
