Enterprise vs. Choctaw Central

Looking to rebound from a disappointing loss last week against Lumberton, the Enterprise Bulldogs sought to win their homecoming game against the Choctaw Central Warriors this past Friday night. The Warriors kicked off to the Bulldogs to start the first half. The Bulldogs get the ball to the 40-yard line, and Derrick Moore takes the ball around the right side for a touchdown. The successful two point conversion makes it 8-0. The Bulldogs kickoff to the Warriors, and they start their drive at the 47-yard line. The Warriors looked like they were about to score, but a pass by #8 is intercepted by Eli Wakeford-Smith on the 1-yard line. Enterprise drives the ball down the field, but they are faced with a 4th and short, and a fumbled snap ends the drive. The Warriors take over at the 23-yard line. Choctaw Central drives down the field once again, only to turn the ball over right outside the 20. The Bulldogs start the second quarter in a 3rd and 11 situation on the 34-yard line. The play is blown up and forces the Bulldogs to punt. The Warriors take over the ball at the 35-yard line. The Warriors get a drive to go into the red zone, but the Bulldogs make a defensive stand and keep the Warriors to a field goal. With a little over half the second quarter left, the score is 8-3. After the kickoff, Enterprise gets the ball on the 35-yard line. A would be touchdown run by Derrick Moore is called back, and the Bulldogs end up punting. The Warriors get the ball on the 50-yard line, and they drive down the field to score with 30 seconds left in the second quarter to take the lead 10-8. The lead is not held long, as the Bulldogs answer with a 58 yard touchdown run by Derrick Moore as time expires. Enterprise goes into halftime ahead 16-10. Enterprise kicks off to start the second half, and the ball is returned to the 40-yard line. The second play of the drive, the Warriors fumble, and Enterprise takes over at the 30-yard line. The Bulldogs are faced with a 4th and 1, and the quarterback sneak is successful. A big time pass to Lane Kennedy puts the Bulldogs at the 9-yard line, and they score the next play with a touchdown run by Derrick Moore. The PAT is no good, and the score is 24-10. A failed onside kick gives the Warriors the ball at the 48-yard line. Even with the good field position, the Warriors cannot get anything started and turn the ball over on downs at the 45-yard line. Enterprise looks as if they will drive down the field and score, but a fumble in the red zone stops the drive. The Warriors start their drive at the 15-yard line, and they drive all the way down to the 44-yard line where they are stopped on a 4th and short attempt. The Bulldogs then run down the clock to go into the fourth quarter. Enterprise starts the 4th in a 3rd and 1 on the 11-yard line. A successful run makes it first and goal. A penalty puts the Bulldogs back at the 16-yard line, but Chris Millsap gets a running touchdown the next play. The PAT is no good, and the score is 30-10. The Warriors get the ball on the 40-yard line, but their drive is cut short with an interception by Zach Kyle. Enterprise gets the ball on the 19-yard line. On a 3rd and 1 situation, Dalton Baxley executes a quarterback sneak that goes all the way to the Warrior’s 25-yard line. After a penalty, Derrick Moore gets a 30 yard touchdown run to extend the league. The two point conversion by Darrel Phillips, Jr., is good to make the game 38-10. The Warriors cannot get anything going on their ensuing drive and have a turnover on downs. Enterprise then caps off their drive with a 4 yard touchdown run by Kaleb Fisher. The PAT is no good and the score is 44-10. The Warriors pull together for a touchdown drive with a pass from #8 to make the score 44-16. That would be the last score of the game as neither team could reach the end zone after that. The final score was Enterprise 44, Choctaw Central 10.
