Pro Wrestling the way it used to be! SWA Championship Wrestling will be coming to the Multi Purpose Annex Building in Quitman Saturday, February 6. Doors will open at 6 p.m., with Bell Time at 7 p.m. Skidmore’s Catering will be serving up some great food, so come early!
“We are an "old school" wrestling promotion like back in the days of Gulf Coast Wrestling, International Championship Wrestling and Mid South Wrestling,” stated Steve Starr, director. “We have many fundraisers throughout the year for nonprofit organizations from booster clubs, schools, sports, cheerleaders, band, etc. We've also had fundraisers for sheriff reserves and volunteer fire departments.”
The current SWA Southern Heavyweight Champion is "The Prince of Pain" Joe Kane. The current SWA Southern Tag Team Champions are Calvin Rose and Nick Wonder. These three wrestlers, along with The Black Ranger #4, Red Phoenix, Barry Wolf, Lukas Frost, Dalton Delk and Domination Incorporated, managed by Billy D McLain, and 6'7 310lbs. Hillbilly Joe will be performing.
SWA Championship Wrestling is seen on five different TV channels throughout the state, including Fox 30 in Meridian each Saturday night at 11:30 p.m. Follow their Facebook page at SWA Promotions.
