Pat Harrison Waterway District closed the Chickasawhay River boat ramp in Quitman on Friday, October 10.
They plan to demolish the current boat ramp and rebuild a new one where they plan to install French drains to help mitigate the springs underneath it. They will pour a new concrete boat ramp.
