The Alabama All-Stars blanked Mississippi in the 35th Mississippi-Alabama All-Star Game played in Hattiesburg. The Alabama defense led by defensive MVP Miguel Mitchell of Oxford, Alabama, held the home team to only 117 yards of total offense in the game.

Ole Miss captured the Egg Bowl over archrival Mississippi State, 31-20, in Starkville. The win gives the Rebels their first 10-win regular season in program history. The Rebels doubled their win total from last year and finished second in the SEC West.

Ole Miss defeated LSU, 31-17, this past Saturday and moved up to No. 9 in the AP College Football poll this week. Ole Miss (6-1, 3-1) used an ever improving defense and a solid ground game to take down LSU for the first time since 2015. This week the schedule is no easier as the Rebels will visit No. 21 Auburn.
