The Ole Miss Rebels were selected as a No. 1 seed in the NIT Tournament and were also selected as one of the four teams to replace a team in the NCAA Tournament if a team is affected by COVID-19. The Rebels (16-11) will find out on Tuesday if they are moved to the NCAA Tournament.

This week, a former Ole Miss head football coach will be in the Mississippi news a lot, as Southern Mississippi (1-3) is scheduled to play at Liberty University (5-0) this Saturday where Hugh Freeze is presently the head coach of the Flames. The Flames are on the verge on breaking into the Top 25.

The most important thing I have learned from COVID-19 is that the “so-called experts” are not really experts. What I mean is that these experts really do not have all the answers. Webster’s defines expert as “a person who has comprehensive and authoritative knowledge of or skill in a particular area.” In sports we have our own experts.

LSU and Alabama are where all eyes will be Saturday night. The electric atmosphere of Tiger Stadium is what makes college football so special. Alabama has won plenty of times in Baton Rouge, so they will not be intimidated. LSU has vastly improved in the last month, but still they have their skeptics.
