I enjoyed time with my younger son and his wife in beautiful San Diego the last two weeks. One of the several highlights of the trip was seeing the San Diego Padres take on the Chicago Cubs last Wednesday afternoon at beautiful Petco Park. I thought maybe I would get to see Lucedale native Justin Steele pitch for the Cubs.

For only the first time since 2008 and for only the second time in NCAA Tournament history, all four number one seeds have survived and headed to the Final Four. Auburn, Duke, Florida and Houston will travel to San Antonio. Auburn and Florida will meet on Saturday with Duke and Houston also squaring off.

The SEC men’s basketball tournament will be held beginning on Wednesday and run through Sunday in Nashville. Auburn, Florida, Alabama and Tennessee will be the top four seeds and will receive a double bye in the tournament.
