Bobcat Golf Tournament set for August 15

The Jones College Bobcat Golf Tournament will be held Aug. 15 at Laurel Country Club.

The tournament is a fund-raiser for the Bobcat golf program.

The event is a four-person scramble with an entry fee of $600 per team. Corporate and hole sponsorships are also available. Prizes will be awarded.

Bobcat golfers finish third in WCU Invitational

Jones College finished third in the William Carey University Invitational here Tuesday at Canebrake Golf Club.

The Bobcats posted a 296, 12-over par in the eight-team event. Mississippi Gulf Coast won the tournament with a two-under par 282 and East Central was second with an 11-over par 295.

Bobcats gain 20th win with impressive performance vs. Trojans

Jones College made 17 three-pointers and defeated Mississippi Delta 97-76 here Thursday night at A.B. Howard Gymnasium.

The Bobcats made 11 treys in the first half and ended up hitting 17-of-37 from beyond the arc for 45 percent.
