Bobcats take two from Bulldogs in MACCC opening DH

Jones College opened MACCC play with a sweep over Holmes on Saturday afternoon at The Bank, winning the opener 10-1 thanks to seven Bulldog errors and using a two-run homer from Evan Rogers (Northwest Rankin) in the nightcap to rally for a 6-3 come-from-behind victory.

No. 6 Jones College defeated Hinds 8-2 and 8-1 here Wednesday afternoon at Community Bank Park/Gwen Magee Field to run its impressive win streak to 42 games over the Eagles.

The Bobcats improved to 16-6, 4-0 in MACCC play while Hinds fell to 13-9, 2-2 in league play.
