Bobcats fall to Co-Lin in national championship game

Jones College came up just short in its quest for a second softball national championship.

Copiah-Lincoln defeated the Bobcats 7-0 here Saturday morning at Tyger River Park in a winner-take-all title game in the NJCAA Division II World Series.

It's only fitting that the best two teams in the best conference in NJCAA Division II softball get one more chance to showcase their talents on the national stage.

Jones College knocked off Copiah-Lincoln Friday morning, 5-3, rallying with three runs in the 7th to advance to Friday night's championship game.

Three Jones College Bobcats have earned All-MACCC honors for the 2023 season.

Utility player Beau Bryans was named to the First Team and third baseman Gatlin Sanders and pitcher Drew Druckenmiller were named to the Second Team.
