Chase Honeycutt (DeSoto Central) homered in each game and drove in five and Drew Druckenmiller (Mobile, Alabama) punched out a career-high 11 in a complete game performance in game two to help No. 13 Jones College split with No. 17 Hinds Wednesday evening at Community Bank Park.

QHS Baseball Starts Off Strong in District Games

The Panthers kicked off district play in baseball on Tuesday, March 6. They won their first game 5-2.

Camon Ivy was the pitcher for the game and dominated the mound. He pitched a total of seven innings and only allowed two hits during the game.

Jones has 12-game winning streak snapped by Itawamba

Francisco Elvira (West Jones) tossed 3.1 one-hit innings in relief to help Jones College knock off Mississippi Delta, 8-5, before an 11-4 setback to Itawamba snapped the Bobcats' season-long 12-game winning streak.

Wednesday’s doubleheader was played here at Smith-Wills Stadium.
