The 13th-ranked Jones College Bobcats remained undefeated with an 8-1 decision over No. 24 East Central here Friday afternoon at the East Central Tennis Complex.

The Bobcats are now 7-0 overall, 4-0 in the MACCC. Jones visits Millsaps on Sunday before resuming conference play with a March 6 home match vs. Hinds.

Bobcats surprise 20-win Coahoma, 83-73

Jones College took the lead for good late in the third quarter and went on to stun Coahoma 83-73 here on a late Monday night at A.B. Howard Gymnasium.

Because of Coahoma travel issues and a scoreboard malfunction just prior to the game the contest did not tip off approximately 8:15 p.m. instead of the scheduled 5:30 p.m.
