Bobcats fall to Co-Lin in national championship game

Jones College came up just short in its quest for a second softball national championship.

Copiah-Lincoln defeated the Bobcats 7-0 here Saturday morning at Tyger River Park in a winner-take-all title game in the NJCAA Division II World Series.

Three baseball Bobcats earn All-MACCC honors

Three Jones College Bobcats have earned All-MACCC honors for the 2023 season.

Utility player Beau Bryans was named to the First Team and third baseman Gatlin Sanders and pitcher Drew Druckenmiller were named to the Second Team.

Jones College holds 24th Alumni Golf Tournament

After being postponed for a month because of inclement weather, the 24th Jones College Alumni Golf Tournament took place on May 18 at Laurel Country Club.

Twenty teams competed in the event, which is a fundraiser that provides scholarships to students in the college’s eight-county district.

Bobcats finish 12th in national tennis tournament

The Jones College Bobcats finished 12th here in the NJCAA Division I Women’s Tennis Tournament.

Jones picked up 15 point and tied Mississippi Gulf Coast for 12th. Meridian finished 18th with nine points and East Central was 20th with 8.5 points.
