Bobcats win playoff to make regionals; Mitchell named All-Tournament

The Jones College Bobcats made history here Wednesday at the MACCC Tournament at The Oaks Golf Club.

The Bobcats defeated East Mississippi on the second playoff hole to finish fourth in the tournament. Jones now qualifies for the Region 23 Tournament, which will be played April 20-21 at Beau Pre’ Country Club in Natchez.

Bobcats post best finish of season

Jones College had its best finish of the season here Tuesday in the final regular season tournament of the year at Northwood Country Club.

The Bobcats finished tied for fourth after posting a 306-302– 608 in the Lou Hart Invitational, hosted by Meridian Community College.

Jones College Alumni Golf Tournament set for April 14

The 24th annual Jones College Alumni Golf Tournament will be held April 14 at Laurel Country Club.

Registration and breakfast begin at 7:30 a.m. with tee time set for 8:30 a.m. The tournament is a four-person scramble and lunch will be served after play. Entrance is $150 per participant.
