Lindsey sets HR record in Bobcat sweep

Lauren Lindsey set the Jones College school record for home runs as the No. 5 Bobcats took two from Hinds here Wednesday afternoon at Rene T. Warren Field.

Lindsey hit her 44th career home run in the opener as Jones won, 9-3. The Bobcats followed that up with a 10-0, five-inning win in game two.

Bulldogs remain unbeaten in MACCC play

The Jones College tennis teams remained undefeated in MACCC play with a pair of 9-0 victories over Northeast.

The Bobcats then lost to NAIA-member Blue Mountain Christian University. BMCU won the women’s match, 7-0, and edged Jones in the men’s match, 4-3.

No. 8 CJones College (25-3) withstood a fourth quarter rally Sunday afternoon at A.E. Wood Coliseum to knock off rival Pearl River, 59-51, and punch its ticket to the NJCAA Division I Tournament for an unrivaled seventh straight season.
