It is the purpose of Redemption to free us from the tyranny of sin. That freedom comes in three primary realizations: Freedom from the penalty of sin; freedom from the power of sin; and “one day” freedom from the presence of sin. Too often, we think of what Jesus did for us on the Cross as mostly providing an answer to our guilt.
