Indians halt 17-game Bobcat winning streak

A season-long, 17-game winning streak came to a halt Friday at Andy Kirk Field in a 6-5 Game 1 loss but No. 1 Jones College rebounded with a 10-4 win in the nightcap to leave Fulton with a split.

Jones moved to 27-4, 5-1 in the MACCC while ICC moved to 19-6, 4-2 in conference play.

No. 4 Bobcats split home games with Itawamba

Chase Russell went 8.0 innings and No. 4 Jones College rallied from a 3-0, first inning deficit to beat Itawamba, 4-3, in game one.

The Indians rebounded in game two with a 9-3 victory Friday afternoon at Community Bank Park. The loss snapped a six-game Bobcat winning streak.
